Ways to Help
Donate Food
Our donation needs change regularly. Please see the list below for the items we currently need. We accept donations during our regular hours or by special appointment.
Organize a Food Drive
We rely 100% on the Erie Community. We stock our shelves mainly from food drives. It is most effective when we can communicate what food items we are lowest on. We also provide basic toiletry items to our shoppers, if you would like to do a toiletry drive.
This is a great program for students who need several hours of service throughout the school year.
Neighborhood Bag Program
The Neighborhood Bag Program is a great way to serve the community on your own time and with your family. See if any of your neighbors would like to donate food on a regular basis. Leave a green bag (provided by us) with them. Every month, we send out a list of the food items the Food Bank needs. You relay the items to your neighbors and schedule a time to pick up their bag and then deliver it to us.

Donate Your Time
We always appreciate people who wish to roll up their sleeves and help out. In Erie, we have many people who want to help out during working hours. Currently, all of our volunteer positions are filled. Click on the link below to leave your name and contact information so we can get a hold of you when a spot opens up.

Ideas to involve
your family.
Give kids a donation budget and a shopping list.
On your next trip to the grocery store, give kids a shopping list of our currently needed items and a budget. Let them choose how to spend that money. Give them challenges – what is the largest number of needed items you can get within your budget?
Create a donation box.
Dedicate a box to be filled each month, and allow kids to add items throughout the month. Let them choose one item from the donation list at each store they visit throughout the month. Come in as a family and make the donation together.
